Corporate Solicitor - NQ to 1PQE
The Corporate NQ role will provide exposure to a broad and varied range of corporate work across the public sector on a national basis to include central government departments, local authorities, housing associations and non-departmental public bodies/charities.
A vacancy has arisen in our team due to the ongoing expansion of this busy practice in the Manchester office.
Through our national service lines you will work with notable clients and become a sector specialist. You will receive bespoke training throughout your career ensuring you have the technical and commercial skills to build an effective and successful practice. We will invest in you; we want you to be successful. You will manage your own caseloads ensuring your experience is varied and broad.
As a corporate solicitor in our Manchester office, you will be assisting with the continued development of our corporate practice. This is a client facing role with real career prospects and an opportunity to grow with our corporate practice including equity capital market and private equity work.
In this role, you will be assisting on a wide variety of matters including, but not limited to:
- M&A private equity
- public equity transactions for listed corporates
You will be responsible for your own matters as well as working as part of a project team on larger transactions. You will have a high level of client contact and will have the opportunity to get involved in the full range of business development activities.
The Ideal Candidate

- Between NQ – 2 years PQE with the requisite skills and experience gained within private practice, public sector or in house. Applicants with appropriate experience outside this PQE range will also be considered;
- Excellent drafting and communication skills are essential.
- Strong organisational skills, accuracy and attention to detail.
- Have high level analytical and logic skills to ensure the logical arrangement of materials and the optimum order of events in a complex process.
- Possess good communication skills
- Have a desire to learn and develop legal skills in the area of Corporate law; what TLT does and what our clients do/how they work.
