NQ Commercial Manchester

Job Introduction

We are recruiting for an NQ Commercial Solicitor to join our team in Manchester, The role will provide exposure to a broad and varied range of commercial work with some work across the public sector on a national basis to include central government departments, local authorities, housing associations and non-departmental public bodies/charities.

As well as providing project-based, strategic legal advice, the team also offers flexible support to in-house legal departments and contract management teams on 'business as usual' transactions. This often requires a high level review of key issues or a bespoke drafting service, including negotiation support on strategic arrangements with key business partners.

Through our national service lines you will work with notable clients and become a sector specialist. You will receive bespoke training throughout your career ensuring you have the technical and commercial skills to build an effective and successful practice.

Role Responsibility

Once you are in the role of Solicitor you will deliver the following:

  • Procurement law and practice;
  • State Aid;
  • Corporate and commercial law;
  • Regeneration projects; and
  • Governance.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Ideally you will come from a City or large Regional law firm with well recognised expertise, a leading practice with a proven track record of supporting organisations with commercial transactions.
  • A Commercial NQ with strong attention to detail is required
  • Good drafting skills
  • Adaptable and willing to learn and advise clients on new areas of work
  • Strong client handling skills
  • Experience of advising on international and strategic clients.
