Solicitor - Employment 1-4 PQE
TLT's employment team is very much a national practice, with team members based in Bristol, Manchester, Glasgow and London.
We are one of very few firms offering resident employment expertise in both Scotland and England.Using Northern Irish qualified solicitors based in Bristol, we also advise clients in respect of their Northern Ireland employees, and recently advised on the high profile proposed closure of a large call centre in Belfast.
The team has real strength in depth. Of the eight Partners across the UK, four are already ranked in Chambers. We also have a very strong core group of six Associates and Legal Directors, along with seven Solicitors.
We combine cutting edge/strategic expertise on complex advisory work (particularly trade union and industrial relations, TUPE, large scale re-organisations, whistle blowing and restrictive covenants), with cost effective support on "business as usual" issues.
We can also draw on the expertise of our established pensions and share schemes teams.
Many of our clients are well known names – such as Sainsbury's, TJ Morris trading as Home Bargains, The Co-op, Eddie Stobart and and Metrolink.
TLT's Manchester office and the Employment team have ambitious growth plans. The Employment team has doubled in size over the last two years and this role is part of the continuing growth and development of the the team.
The development of the team has been recognised by its recent shortlisting for the Employment Team of the Year at the Manchester Legal Awards ( the awards dinner is on 5 March 2020).
