Job Introduction

This is an opportunity to join the Future Energy practice at TLT in Scotland covering all aspects of real estate advice related to clean energy development.  The team is currently comprised of a Partner, a Legal Director, a Senior Associate, a paralegal and a trainee.  There is therefore is a great platform for a junior lawyer to get involved in all aspects of a vast array of transactions and gain significant experience with the benefit of the support available from a number of senior team members.




Role Responsibility

  • Dealing with drafting option agreements and leases on a wide range of clean energy projects (including wind, solar, battery storage, electric vehicles and hydro).
  • Undertaking due diligence on these projects to include a review of title, enquiries and searches as well as the preparation of title reports and Certificates of Title.
  • Acting in relation to the financing of clean energy projects and large scale acquisitions/disposals which will involve working with individuals in our corporate, banking, construction, planning and regulatory disciplines.
  • To provide all our clients with a quality service in accordance with the Firm’s procedures.
  •  To maintain and improve relations with existing clients
  • To achieve the budget and targets set by the Firm.

  • Real Estate experience is essential.

  • Enthusiastic & team approach to working.
  • A desire to learn and develop legal skills in the area of commercial property/renewable energy, what TLT does and what our clients do/how they work.

Package Description
