Contract Recoveries Lawyer - FSDI

Job Introduction

We have an urgent requirement for a Contract Lawyer to support our FSDI team for an initial 6 month contract due to increased client wins. 

We offer fully flexible working for all of our contractors, if you do wish to go into the office occasional we can make this happen. Competitive day rate, must work via an umbrella company.

We act for a variety of financial services clients that provide a wide range of products to customers, from conventional retail mortgages to later life lending. This role is focused around supporting those clients when complex recovery and title defect issues arise. This role will enable you to develop your skills in rectifying property titles and complex recovery actions. You will be working with a recognised leader in this field.

Role Responsibility

We are looking for an ambitious Associate to support the continued growth of our complex recoveries and title rectification practice for our financial services clients. We act for all the top 5 clearing banks in the UK, as well as a large number of other mortgage and later life lenders. All of which has generated the need for additional associate support to service the work.


You will have an opportunity to -

  • Work on a varied case load, providing strategic advice on complex recoveries and title rectification options.
  • Assist Partners and Legal Directors complex matter, at the same time as working on your own case load
  • Develop relationships with our clients, so that you are able to assist in maintaining and developing key accounts.
  • Work with a team of legal assistants, which will enable you to delegate work to others and develop your supervision skills


We are looking for a candidate who is ambitious to support the development of this work stream and who have an interest in disputes and property matters.

The Ideal Candidate

We are open minded about the qualification level as we are most interested in what you can bring to the role and the team, and whether we are the right fit for you. We anticipate that the ideal candidate will be a junior associate with circa two years experience in disputes such as banking or property litigation. Alternatively, we would consider a candidate with two years conveyancing experience with sound knowledge of Land Registry practice and procedure gained in an established property law team.

  • Qualified solicitor 2yrs + PQE
