Finance Administration Assistant

Job Introduction

We are recruiting for a Finance Administration Assistant to join our busy Finance team in Bristol. You will report to the Finance Manager and sit within our growing team of 16 staff to support in all day to day activities.

You will receive a bespoke, on-going training programme to ensure you develop your commercial and technical skills to allow you to deliver the varied workload to a high standard. As a member of our Support team you will be a vital part of our continued success. There isn't an "us and them" mentality and you will be recognised for your hard work and support.

Role Responsibility

As a Finance administration assistant your day to day remit includes:

  • Assist the Finance Supervisor and finance team with day to day administration and ad hoc duties
  • Post General Expenses, anticipated disbursements and manual bills.
  • Run weekly report to show where funds can be moved from client to office account for specific clients, schedule monthly bills
  • WIP transfers & Write off’s, change bank codes in accounts software weekly, matter closures and archiving.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Previous experience of working within a busy office, confident in MS Office applications and specifically Excel. 
  • Strong communication skills, attention to detail and work well under pressure. 
  • Be able to think laterally to solve problems within an evolving finance team
  • Experience of working with banking software applications or knowledge of SRA Accounts Rules is advantageous
