Legal Business Analyst

Job Introduction

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Legal Business Analyst (LBA) to join the FutureLaw team at TLT. 
 
This is new role and the successful candidate will work alongside a project manager, legal project managers, PSLs and lawyers for our internal and external clients to achieve our legal transformation objectives. The opportunity is born out of our continued success in attracting high quality work from a range blue chip clients across our key sectors.

Role Responsibility

You can expect to deliver the following:

  • Work with internal and external clients at a function, matter and relationship level, to define problems and requirements for change, map existing and design improved processes, identify the opportunity for technology solutions, report on performance improvement. 
  • Use data modelling to identify areas where improvement is necessary or should be prioritised. 
  • Work as part of a team to deliver design thinking workshops to internal and external clients. 
  • Identify and agree the data to be captured, analysed and reported on to demonstrate financial and other performance and value benefits.  
  • Support the development of a Data Strategy including the development of new ideas for using data to augment the products, services and value delivered. 
  • Work with Legal Project Managers and others to map processes and resource profiles in the context of pricing, support with marketing and preparation of proposals and tenders. 
  • Assist in the development of new FutureLaw products and services, with a particular focus on problem identification, data analysis and demonstration of return on investment. 
  • Work with the FutureLaw Project Managers to design processes and resources to increase efficiency and promote best practice. 
  • Ensure thorough testing and product road-maps are carried out (alongside a PM or LPM where appropriate). 

The Ideal Candidate

  • Experience of performing an equivalent role in the legal sector, or professional services environment within a programme team. 
  • A creative approach to problem solving, an ability to manage critical issues quickly and effectively; analytical, thorough understanding of how to interpret the client's needs and translate them into business / operational requirements, process models and costs/benefits analysis. 
  • Ideally have a relevant qualification and drive to continue to learn and develop. 
  • Clear understanding of the latest developments in LegalTech to include (but not limited to) data analysis, reporting and automation .Experience of configuring HighQ Collaborate and other relevant platforms. 
  • Experience of working with and managing junior team members on matters and projects; keen team player with the ability to self-start; ability to communicate and engage with stakeholders at all levels.
  • A client focused approach to the delivery of projects and project planning.
