Project Manager

Job Introduction

You will be a member of the Programme Management Team and have the responsibility for the delivery of all new IT infrastructure, platforms, enterprise applications and related upgrades for the firm. You will be responsible for all aspects of delivery managing teams of a multi-discipline nature, ensuring coordination and administration of key responsibilities associated with projects are met, through appropriate planning, coordination and organisation of deliverables and resources associated with these projects. A customer-focussed approach to the role will be essential as will the ability to build relationships with key stakeholders.

Role Responsibility

As a Project Manager your day to day remit includes:
  • Direct and manage projects throughout the project lifecycle, facilitating delivery of agreed project objectives.
  • Develop project documentation such as the business case, and gain signoff with various stakeholders.
  • Establish clear ownership for project tasks, ensure that team members have the tools needed, and provide timely feedback.
  • Act as a single point of contact for all project related issues.
  • Management of project budget and delivery commitments.
  • Manage the customer relationship during delivery, including change and decision making to manage expectations.
  • Ensure effective records are maintained and kept for project delivery. 
  • Proactively manage risk & issues in accordance with RAID principles.
  • Proactively communicate project status, issues & risks to management.
  • Ensure TLT’s policies, procedures and Project Governance methodologies are followed at all times.
  • Conduct regular status meetings with all stakeholders, keeping the stakeholder’s needs and requirements continuously in view.
  • Build and sustain effective communications with all project stakeholders.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Have a fundamental grasp of a wide range of IT technologies
  • Completed a number of successful large scale IT implementations/programmes
  • Able to influence, challenge and empower change throughout the business.
  • Strong planning and organisation skills to deliver operational excellence and efficiency.
  • Ability to multi task and work to tight deadlines.
  • Be motivated to work on your own and with others – self-starter.
  • Be comfortable working on projects of a multi-disciplinary nature, e.g. Infrastructure, compliance, systems and non-systems aspects of delivery.
  • Confident in the ability to influence and communicate with others to deliver targets.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Experience managing a variety of deliverables to required deadlines.
  • Formal Project Management qualification
  • Knowledge or experience of working in a regulated or legal industry.
