Sourcing Controller - Procurement

Job Introduction

We are currently recruiting for a Sourcing Controller to join our growing Procurement team. This will be a procurement leadership role to manage all elements of sourcing, negotiation and contract provision for TLT. This role will have a strategic focus on improving value for money to TLT and improving Supplier performance.

Role Responsibility

In conjunction with the relevant Subject matter experts lead that team to select the appropriate supplier:

  • Agree with Subject matter experts the perceived risk level, draft RFP’s, RFQ and RFI documents as appropriate and identify potential suppliers to provide a response.
  • Pass prepared documents to the Operational team for issue and process.
  • Perform final review on summary evaluations, request revisions or work with Head of Procurement for sign off. 
  • Negotiate final deal with the supplier.
  • Prepare a draft contract with the subject matter expert, agree with supplier and prepare for signature by the Head of Procurement where required.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Significant Procurement experience including extensive sourcing experience, exposure to supplier selection and review processes.
  • Able to manage multiple jobs, prioritise as appropriate, enjoys working to deadlines.
  • An enquiring mind. Not afraid to challenge the status quo.
  • Happy to manage own work load or to act as part of the team
  • Attention to detail. 
  • Indirect Purchases, goods and services and Capex including IT, FM, HR
  • Degree or equivalent experience, MCIPS or working towards.
  • Banking or Legal experience preferred.
  • Exposure to modern Information Security practices, Sustainability legislation, Equality, Modern Slavery and Health and Safety legislation
